Kenzie, of Harlow’s Timber, is nine months into his Level 2 Wood Machinist apprenticeship and was nominated for the amazing progress he is making in his course – both at WEBS and in the workplace.
Kenzie has shown the skills he has learned to a good standard – especially in his project where he has gone above and beyond to create a personalised table. Kenzie has designed a side table with a butcher’s block style top, and using a band saw to cut out his name in the frame. With his portfolio work, he is also staying ahead and producing high standards of work.
Training officer, Kieran Tonge, is pleased with Kenzie’s achievement, saying “Nine months in, Kieran is excelling in all aspects of his course. He engages very well and is proactive gaining evidence to show what he has learned.”
In the workplace, Kenzie has continued to impress and put himself forward for additional training - undertaking an internal forklift course, along with basic supervisory training.
Kieran adds “I always advise my apprentices to take up any opportunities that are offered in the workplace – I am proud of Kenzie because he is pushing his personal development outside of WEBS.”
