The main function of the role is the processing of orders and returns, whilst providing administrative support to Customer Account Managers to ensure Belfield Home Customers are provided with the best possible service.

Order Processing

  • Downloading from different sources (intranets, websites etc)
  • Handshake orders
  • Printing off emails from the ‘Home’ inbox
  • Updating delivery dates on customer intranets/websites
  • Querying with customers if incorrect
  • Notifying customers and/or Account Managers if an item ordered is out of stock
  • Releasing Held and Forward orders
  • Checking O/S Order Report and following through on late orders


  • Raising complaint within Mertex
  • Arranging collection with UK Mail
  • Checking goods have been returned
  • Completing claims off (crediting or rejecting)
  • M&S claims tracker
  • Blinds2Go returns tracker/report
  • Internal Reports – Claims Report Log
  • Liaising with Warehouse/Factory
  • Customer specific requests
  • Booking an order in
  • Delivery on specific date
  • Customer Maintenance
  • Updating details on Mertex, such as:
  • Delivery addresses
  • Contact details


  • Any other administrative tasks as deemed appropriate by Customer Account Managers to ensure customers receive the best possible service
  • Answering the phones in the absence of Customer Account Managers
