With great excitement we can say that we will be attending The Flooring Show with our training partner for Floorlaying, FITA!
WEBS have been delivering apprenticeships with FITA for three years with some great results, so it seems ‘fitting’ (get it?) that we attend the show to really promote what taking on an apprentice is about.
Managing Director, James Woolley, says “I’m thrilled to be a part of this leading flooring event alongside our partners, FITA, in this great opportunity to promote the positives outcomes for apprentices in the flooring industry.”
The last twelve months have seen seventeen completed floorlaying apprenticeships, with hopes for another twenty apprentices to be signed onto the Floorlayer Level 2 standard by the end of the year.
“WEBS have had a great success rate over the past three years we have been delivering the Floorlayer apprenticeship so we are looking forward to meeting and talking to businesses and stakeholders abut how we can best support the industry with our training”.
The UK’s largest flooring event, in Harrogate, will see over 300 exhibitors across all areas of flooring making it the place to be for networking, product demonstrations, and innovation within the industry.
Our training coordinator for floorlaying, Helen Davies, will also be attending the event representing WEBS.
“It will be a great chance to get to see new companies and speak to employers about the industry, including the shortage of floorlayers and how this is impacting them. It will be great to get those employer perspectives.”
Helen is sure to make time to look around all that The Flooring Show has to offer, adding “I’m looking forward to seeing new products available in the industry, and how we could be providing training with these over the coming months!”
